Physical scientists research biomedicine: a call for caution
In the February 2015 issue of Chinese Journal of Cancer Research the letter “Physical scientists research biomedicine: a call for caution” that appears on Pages 94-95 by Wáng YX (1) was published with an error. Leonardo da Vinci was born on 15 April 1452 in the territory of Republic of Florence (modern Italy), and died at Clos Lucé, France, on May 2, 1519. His genius epitomized the Renaissance humanist ideal (2).

Clinical significance of stanniocalcin expression in tissue and serum of gastric cancer patients
In the published article (3), there are two mistakes. The corrections are as follows.
- The corrected icon of Figure 2 should be A,C,E in the first line and B,D,F in the second line rather than A,B,C in the first line and D,E,F in the second line;
- The “Figure 1 C,E” and the “Figure 1 D,F” in the Figure 3 legend should be “Figure 2 C,E” and “Figure 2 D,F”.
The publisher regrets these errors.
